2014 - 2017

Demolizer began as an non-ambitious project in 2014 when Ben "Polle" wrote five songs with the dream of forming a band. Teaming up with his longtime friend Bjørn, who had recently taken up the bass, the pair united their love for heavy metal and set out to create music together. The lineup solidified after Ben met drummer Christian Albrektsen at a local concert, sparking a collaboration fueled by a shared passion for heavy tunes.

Initially named "Radtskaffen," a blend of Ben's surname and the Danish word "Retskaffen" (Righteous), the band embraced Danish semi-political lyrics. Practicing in Ben's childhood room, they crafted their first tracks and eventually secured a larger rehearsal space. Their debut gig in Frederikssund in 2015, organized entirely by the band, was both a triumph and a challenge, fraught with nerves and self-doubt but marking a vital milestone.

By 2016, the band transitioned to English lyrics and evolved their sound from punk to a heavier metal style. This period saw their first demo, Worldwide Anarchy, and notable gigs, including "Punx Undead" and a performance at Lygten, where they met sound engineer Henning Nymand, whose influence left a lasting impression.

In 2017, Demolizer expanded their lineup with guitarist Yusof Al-Farra and shared stages with local powerhouses like Mental Coma and Livløs. While Yusof's tenure was brief, this chapter laid the foundation for the band's pursuit of obtaining the thrash metal sound.

2018 - 2019

Ben and Bjørn explored a side project, Knark Kalas, with Emil from Shocktilstand and Max Petrén Bach Hansen. The creative energy inspired Ben to refocus on his main band, but artistic differences led to drummer Chris's departure. Max stepped in permanently, and the band released their debut demo, Ghoul, on August 7, 2018, marking a turning point in their sound.

With the addition of guitarist Aria Douzandeh-Mobbarez, the band underwent a full reinvention, retiring the name Radtskaffen to become Demolizer. Armed with a heavier sound, they began performing under their new name, building momentum in 2019.

That year, Demolizer joined Danish cult band Red Warszawa for a tour, followed by a two-week Russian adventure that expanded their international reach. Back in Denmark, the band reunited with Red Warszawa for more shows, including a highlight performance at the Copenhell Reunion event.

Capping off an explosive year, Demolizer reached the finals of the Wacken Metal Battle, solidifying their place as a rising force in the danish metal scene

2020 - 2022

2020 saw Demolizer diving into the production of their debut album, Thrashmageddon, at Ballade Studios. Releasing it on September 11 through Mighty Music. Despite the challenges of a global pandemic, Thrashmageddon struck a chord with fans worldwide. The year wasn't without setbacks. Over half of the band's scheduled shows were canceled due to COVID-19. Undeterred, Demolizer adapted by connecting with fans through livestream performances, keeping their music alive with three virtual shows. 2021 proved to be a quieter, more challenging chapter. The weight of the pandemic, combined with personal struggles, led to stress and depression for Ben, prompting a temporary pause for the band. Despite this, Demolizer released Upgrade on October 10, featuring reworked tracks from Ghoul and a cover of Annihilator's "King of the Kill," showcasing their resilience. Live performances were limited, and plans for a German tour fell through due to logistical issues. Even so, the band persevered, with their small release and sporadic shows serving as a testament to their determination during a difficult time.

2023-2024

In 2023, Demolizer experienced a significant resurgence. With newfound strength, they set out to book as many shows as possible.

On 7/7-2023, the band released their second album, "Post Necrotic Human." with Aria on guitars. Despite its rushed production, the album received a fair amount of positive reviews worldwide.

However, the year also brought a farewell to guitarist Aria, who had to prioritize family and job responsibilities. Bjørn introduced Mike Dalsgaard as a potential replacement, and after a successful audition, Mike joined the band and immediately went on tour with Demolizer.

In 2024, Demolizer hit new milestones with an action-packed year of touring. They unleashed their energy across the UK with Hellfekted, tore through Spain and Bulgaria, and brought their intensity to Stockholm alongside Antibiotica and Obscyria.

Back home, the band joined forces with Manticora, Exelerate, and the legendary Artillery on the Metalized Tour, celebrating Danish metal's legacy. With performances and a growing global presence, 2024 solidified Demolizer's reputation as a rising force in the global underground thrash metal scene.
