Biography

Humble Beginnings. (2014-2016)

Demolizer, a Danish thrash metal band, was born from the shared passion of Benjamin "Polle" Radtle (vocals & guitar) and Bjørn Hjortgaard Larsen (bass) in 2014. Friends since primary school, they began writing heavy riffs in a cramped childhood room under the initial name "Radtskaffen." Inspired by thrash metal legends like Exodus and Slayer, they set out on a journey of raw energy and fast riffs.

Evolution of Lineup and Sound (2017–2018)

Seeking greater aggression, Ben and Bjørn recruited Max Petrén Bach Hansen as drummer, followed by guitarist Aria Douzandeh-Mobbarez, solidifying their lineup. This marked a turning point, culminating in the release of their debut demo, Ghoul, in 2018. The release of this demo marked the beginning of Demolizer's thrash-metal identity and set the stage for greater ambitions.

Thrashmageddon & Worldwide Reach (2019–2020)

2019 was a breakout year for Demolizer, highlighted by extensive touring. They played across Denmark, embarked on a  D.I.Y tour in Russia, and earned a spot in the prestigious Danish Wacken Metal Battle Finals. In 2020, the band released their debut album, Thrashmageddon, under Mighty Music and Spiritual Beast Records (Japan) - Produced by Lasse Ballade (Konvent, Strychnos, Alkymist, Afsky). The album received widespread acclaim and solidified their position in the thrash-metal scene. The tracks Cancer in the Brain & Copenhagen Burning even made its way to the official Spotify Thrashers playlist Despite the global pandemic derailing live performances, the band adapted with livestream shows to maintain their momentum.

Challenges & Resilience (2021–2022, COVID-19)

The pandemic brought significant challenges, forcing Demolizer to scale back their activities. They released Upgrade, a collection of reimagined tracks and covers, but personal and external struggles slowed progress. Despite limited shows, the band's dedication never wavered. This period of reflection and perseveran prepared Demolizer for a strong comeback.

Rebirth & Growth (2023–2024)

Post Necrotic Human, released in 2023, showcased Demolizer's evolution despite its rushed production, earning positive reviews worldwide. The year also marked the departure of guitarist Aria Mobbarez, replaced by Mike Dalsgaard, who seamlessly joined the band mid-tour.

Reinvigorated, Demolizer has expanded their presence internationally, performing in Bulgaria, Sweden, Spain, and the UK in 2024 alone. These shows have solidified their reputation as a force in the global underground thrash metal scene, setting the stage for even greater accomplishments.

Present

Demolizer is currently working on their third studio album while planning to tour EU D.I.Y-style.
